First for Australia at Maurice May & Co

February 23, 2005 - Maurice May Laywers have become the first organisation in Australia to upgrade to WinScribe v3.5.3 in December 2004.

Maurice May's Sydney office has been using WinScribe for several years and recently decided to bring their Wollongong office onto WinScribe to allow a streamlined, universal digital dictation solution across the firm, using a single server located in the Sydney office. Upgrading their digital dictation system from an earlier version of WinScribe, all Maurice May users can now enjoy the benefits of WinScribe's Internet based author and typist programs.

A major benefit of the upgrade to Maurice May, is the ability to utilise their typists in both locations to take overflow typing from any of the solicitors throughout the firm. With the introduction of the ability to override default job routing rules in v3.5.3, solicitors can now choose to send their dictation recordings directly to their personal assistant or retain the default job routing rules and allow their work to be typed by the next available typist. Also, using WinScribe's Web-Based Management application, both Sydney and Wollongong users now have the ability to be able to manage the system from any workstation on the network.
