Intelligent Workflow advantages prompt roll out of WinScribe Digital Dictation at CMS Cameron McKenna.
London, 6 June 2005 - CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, the top 10 city-based firm with over 600 UK fee earners, has achieved significantly increased work sharing after rolling-out the WinScribe digital dictation system to its London and Bristol offices. The system, provided by the UK's exclusive WinScribe Platinum Partner, SRC, was initially trialled in the firm's 100 strong Real Estate Department.
Commenting on the impact of the SRC WinScribe solution, Philip Rooke, IT Director at CMS Cameron McKenna LLP said, "WinScribe's Intelligent Work Management system, which automatically manages the distribution and prioritisation of work, is a crucial factor in improving the efficiency of the firm's working practices."
"WinScribe enables the flow of work to be defined according to the user, type of work, team, location, and other criteria. This means that in most instances the administrative burden of identifying who should transcribe a recording is removed from our fee earners and handled automatically by the system, significantly streamlining the process."
"Whereas the other digital dictation systems we considered following responses to our ITT replicated the existing analogue tape process, WinScribe was the only system that allowed us to introduce this real process change and meet our team working and utilisation objectives," Mr Rooke continued.
The roll-out of WinScribe has also had a positive impact in terms of flexibility for the fee earning staff. With WinScribe system's support for remote working proving to be very successful, fee earners can now submit dictations directly from anywhere in the world over a mobile or fixed-line telephone or by using the new Olympus DS-4000 handheld digital dictation device," said Carol Frost, Head of Administration, CMS Cameron McKenna LLP.
"This additional functionality, coupled with the smooth introduction of the system supported by SRC's excellent project management, training and support services, has meant that the project will not only increase efficiency but has been warmly welcomed by users."
Chris Hart, SRC CEO said, "When selecting a digital dictation system, law firms can either choose to replicate their existing analogue tape process and realise only limited return-on-investment or maximise efficiency improvements by deploying a true digital dictation workflow system such as WinScribe; we are delighted that a firm of CMS Cameron McKenna's calibre and size is receiving the significant additional benefits of the SRC WinScribe solution."
CMS Cameron McKenna LLP is one of the most recent law firms to roll out the SRC WinScribe solution; other prominent firms include Beachcroft Wansbroughs, Ricksons, Ward Hadaway, Dickinson Dees, Hill Dickinson, Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, Berrymans Lace Mawer, Lupton Fawcett, Irwin Mitchell and Morgan Cole. SRC is WinScribe's exclusive UK Platinum Partner.
